I’ve chosen photo number one. I took this photo last summer at a small riding school just outside our town. It was a warm, sunny afternoon, and my cousin had invited me to watch her first riding lesson. In the picture you can see a girl wearing a riding helmet standing beside a brown horse. She is outdoors, and the horse looks calm and well-groomed. The girl is gently touching the saddle, probably checking that everything is in place before she mounts. Her instructor is standing nearby, giving her some final advice about how to hold the reins. I keep this photo in my album because it captures a really important day for my cousin. She had been afraid of horses for years, so this was a big step for her. I also like the peaceful atmosphere of the scene and the warm colours of the late afternoon. Whenever I look at it, I remember how proud she was after the lesson. I decided to show this picture to you because you once told me you wanted to try horse riding. I thought it might inspire you to finally sign up for a lesson. Besides, I wanted to share a happy family memory with you. If you like, we could visit that riding school together sometime.
