I’ve chosen photo number one. I took this photo at home on a quiet Sunday afternoon last winter. It was one of those grey, chilly days when staying indoors feels especially cosy. In the picture you can see my younger sister and her best friend. They are lying side by side on the floor of our living room. Between them there is a big open book with colourful pictures. Both girls are looking closely at the pages and reading together. My sister is pointing at something in the book, probably explaining it to her friend. They are so absorbed in the story that they have not noticed me at all. I keep this photo in my album because it reminds me of a very happy and peaceful time at home. It also shows how close the two girls are and how much they enjoy spending time together. I decided to show this picture to you because you once told me that you loved reading as a child. I hope it brings back some warm memories for you too.
