Hi Alex, I've just found two great photos for our project called "Tastes differ", and I want to share the news with you. The first picture shows a woman sitting at the steering wheel of her own car. The second one shows a woman raising her hand to hail a yellow taxi in a street. I chose these two photos because they perfectly illustrate how differently people can travel around the city. The main difference is that in the first photo the woman drives her own car, while in the second one she uses a taxi service. Another difference is that the first situation gives her full control over the route, whereas in the second she depends on the driver. Driving your own car has a clear advantage: you can leave whenever you want and keep your personal space. However, its disadvantage is that you have to pay for petrol, insurance and parking, and you may get stuck in traffic jams. As for taking a taxi, its advantage is that you don't need to worry about driving or parking at all. On the other hand, it can be quite expensive, and during rush hour you may wait a long time for a car to arrive. Personally, I would prefer driving my own car because it gives me freedom and independence. Besides, I really enjoy the feeling of being in control of my own journey.
