Task 4. Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
· give a brief description of the photos (action, location)
· say what the pictures have in common
· say in what way the pictures are different
· say which of the celebrations presented in the pictures you preferred as a child
· explain why

Пример ответа
In the first photo, I can see a family at home: two parents and a child are opening a Christmas present, and they are all wearing Santa hats. In the second photo, a group of children is celebrating a party outdoors, with balloons and presents around them. Both pictures show people celebrating a special occasion and receiving gifts. Another thing they have in common is the happy, festive atmosphere: everyone looks excited and cheerful. However, the celebrations are quite different in setting: the first one takes place indoors, in a cosy home, while the second one is held outside. The people also differ: in the first picture it is a small family with adults and one child, whereas in the second picture there are only children in a larger group. Besides, the first celebration is clearly Christmas, judging by the Santa hats and the wrapped present, while the second one looks more like a birthday party with balloons. As a child, I would have preferred the celebration in the first picture. I have always enjoyed quiet family holidays at home more than noisy outdoor parties. Opening presents together with my parents made the moment feel warm and personal. Also, Christmas has always been my favourite holiday because of its magic and traditions. That is why the family celebration in the first photo appeals to me more.
