I’ve chosen photo number one. I took this picture last July at a small outdoor swimming pool near my grandparents’ country house. It was a hot, sunny afternoon during our summer holidays, and we had gone there to cool down and have some fun. In the photo you can see two girls and a boy standing in the blue water of the pool. They are my younger cousins, and they are all wearing colourful swimsuits. Behind them there are tall green trees, which make the place look calm and peaceful. The children are laughing and splashing each other, clearly enjoying themselves in the cool water. One of the girls is raising her hand, as if she is about to splash the boy next to her. The boy is smiling widely, and the other girl is looking at the camera with a happy expression. I keep this photo in my album because it reminds me of a wonderful family day out. It also captures the carefree mood of that summer, when we had no worries and simply enjoyed being together. I decided to show this picture to you because you once told me that you love swimming outdoors. I thought it might make you smile and perhaps inspire us to visit a pool together sometime. Besides, this photo shows how much fun simple summer activities can be.
