Hi, I've found two great pictures for our school project "Solo or in company". The first photo shows a group of children having a party meal together at a table covered with cakes, biscuits and glasses of juice. The second photo shows a woman eating half a grapefruit with a spoon all alone. So the main difference is obvious: in the first picture people are sharing a meal and chatting, while in the second one a person is eating in complete solitude. Both ways of having meals have their strong points. When you eat in company, food turns into a real celebration, you can talk, laugh and enjoy the atmosphere, and it is also a good chance to catch up with friends. Eating alone, on the other hand, is quick and convenient: you can choose exactly what you want, eat at any time and enjoy a quiet moment just for yourself. However, there are disadvantages too. A noisy shared meal can be tiring, it takes much longer, and you sometimes cannot fully relax or eat what you personally like. As for eating solo, it can feel lonely and even a bit sad, and without company people often eat too fast or snack on something unhealthy. As for me, I would definitely prefer having meals in company, like the children in the first picture. Sharing food with friends or family makes any dish taste better and creates warm memories, and that matters more to me than a quick quiet snack. That's why I think these two photos fit our project perfectly. Let me know what you think!
