Dear Jessica,
Thanks for your email! It's great to hear from you, and I'm glad summer has finally arrived.
As for your questions, I usually spend my summer holidays with my family, though I sometimes go out with friends. We normally travel to the countryside, where my grandparents live, or to the seaside. I think some people enjoy spending holidays where they live because it's cheap, relaxing and they can sleep in their own beds.
That's wonderful news about Tim! What exams did he take? How long did he prepare for them? Did he find them difficult?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes,
Alex
