These two photographs show people studying, but in rather different settings. In the first picture, a male teacher is helping a female student with an open book indoors. They seem to be in a classroom or a study room, and the atmosphere looks calm and focused. In the second picture, a young man and a young woman are sitting outdoors, studying together with a laptop and a book. They are probably in a park or on a campus, and the mood there feels more relaxed and informal. Both photos have a lot in common. The main similarity is that in both cases people are learning and working with study materials. Another common feature is that studying in both pictures involves interaction between two people, so it is not a solitary process. However, there are some clear differences. In the first photo the setting is indoors, while in the second one it is outdoors. The first picture shows a formal teacher-student relationship, whereas the second one shows peers or friends studying together as equals. Also, the second photo includes a laptop, so the learning there is partly digital, while the first photo focuses on a traditional printed book. As for my preference, I would choose the way of preparing for classes shown in the first picture, because a teacher can explain difficult points immediately and correct my mistakes.
