Hi! I'm recording this voice message because we need to sort out the illustrations for our school project called "School subjects", and I can't send you the pictures right now for technical reasons. So I've picked two photos that fit the topic really well, and I'd like to explain my choice. The first photo shows a boy in a chemistry lesson holding up a flask with some blue liquid in it, and he looks quite focused on what he's doing. The second photo shows a girl with a backpack and a book pointing at a world map in a classroom. The main difference between them is that the first picture is all about experiments and practical work in a lab, while the second one is about studying maps and learning facts about our planet. As for chemistry, its big advantage is that you get to do hands-on experiments and see real reactions with your own eyes, which makes the subject exciting and memorable. On the downside, chemistry can be quite difficult, because you have to learn lots of formulas and terms, and experiments can sometimes be dangerous if you are careless. Geography, in its turn, has its own strong point: it helps you understand the world around you, and it is really useful when you travel or read the news. However, geography also has a disadvantage, because it involves memorising a huge amount of names, dates and data, which can be boring for some students. If I think about my own school years, I preferred chemistry, because I loved doing experiments and watching how different substances react with each other.
