Пример ответа
The teenage years are often described as a stormy period, and many people believe that understanding parents are the key to a teenager's happiness. In my opinion, this statement is true, although other factors also matter.

I agree that parental understanding plays a crucial role in a teenager's well-being. Firstly, adolescence is a time of rapid change, and young people often feel confused and insecure; parents who listen without judging give them a safe place to share their worries. Secondly, when teenagers feel accepted at home, they are less likely to seek approval from risky company or to rebel. Finally, trusting relationships with parents build self-confidence, which is essential for happiness.

However, some people argue that friends matter more than parents during adolescence. Teenagers spend most of their free time with peers, and it is friends who share their interests, secrets and emotions. In this view, even the most understanding parents cannot replace the support of a close friend.

I cannot fully agree with this position. Friends are indeed important, but teenage friendships are often unstable and can break up, whereas parental love is usually unconditional and lasting. Moreover, understanding parents can help a teenager cope with conflicts among friends, so the family remains the foundation of emotional security.

To sum up, although friends and personal interests contribute to a teenager's happiness, I firmly believe that understanding parents are its most reliable source. Mutual trust and respect within the family help young people pass through this difficult period with confidence.
