Nowadays video blogs are one of the most popular pastimes among young people, so I have decided to do a project on what kinds of video blogs are most popular with Zetland teenagers. To find out more, I studied the results of an opinion poll, which are presented in the table below.
As can be seen from the table, the most popular category is video blogs about books and films, chosen by 43% of the respondents. The second most widespread answer is travelling, with 24% of teenagers watching such content. Fitness and sports come third, being mentioned by 16% of the young people surveyed.
Comparing the figures, it is clear that video blogs about books and films are almost twice as popular as those about travelling (43% versus 24%). Moreover, the gap between the leaders and the least popular category, cooking, is striking: only 7% of teenagers watch cooking blogs, which is six times less than the top result.
However, watching video blogs can lead to a serious problem: teenagers often spend hours online and neglect their studies, sleep and real-life communication. In my opinion, the best solution is to set a daily time limit and follow a schedule that leaves enough room for homework, sport and meeting friends.
In conclusion, I believe that video blogs play an important role in teenagers' lives, as they help young people relax, learn something new and find like-minded people. Nevertheless, they should be watched wisely, without letting them replace real experiences.
