Nowadays, regular physical activity is widely promoted as a key to a healthy life, yet many Zetlanders still avoid it. My project explores why people in Zetland refuse to exercise regularly, using the results of a recent opinion poll.

According to the table, the most common reason is a simple lack of pleasure: 48% of respondents say they get no enjoyment from sport. Another 18% mention no motivation, while 13% consider sport too expensive. Smaller groups blame a lack of time (11%) and having nobody to share the activity with (10%).

Comparing the figures, the gap between the top two reasons is striking: "no pleasure" is almost three times as popular as "no motivation" (48% versus 18%). This suggests that the problem is not merely laziness but a genuine dislike of exercise, which is much harder to overcome. Interestingly, the practical obstacles of cost and time are mentioned far less often, so they seem less decisive.

If a person never exercises, they risk obesity, heart disease and constant fatigue. A practical solution is to make activity enjoyable rather than obligatory: short walks with music, dancing or team games can replace boring gym routines, turning exercise into leisure.

In conclusion, I believe people can be motivated to do sports if they are offered pleasant, social and affordable activities. When exercise brings joy and company, even the least motivated Zetlanders will gladly take part.
