Nowadays, many people in Zetland leave their home towns and move to big cities, hoping to improve their lives. The table shows the results of an opinion poll on why Zetlanders make this choice.
According to the data, the most popular reason is getting a new job, chosen by 34% of the respondents. Developing one's business is mentioned by 27% of the participants, while getting a better education is important for 26% of them.
Interestingly, career-related reasons clearly dominate social ones. For example, getting a new job is more than six times as popular as making new friends (34% versus 5%). This suggests that most people move to cities mainly for practical and financial benefits rather than for communication.
However, moving to a big city can cause a serious problem: the cost of living there is usually much higher than in small towns, so newcomers may struggle to pay for housing and food. A possible solution is to plan a budget carefully and find a job before moving.
In conclusion, in my opinion, living in a big city is worth trying, because it offers more career and educational opportunities. Nevertheless, people should be ready for high expenses and strong competition.
