Hi, I've found two photos for our school project "The best New Year holiday", but I can't send them right now, so let me describe them. The first photo shows a woman in a warm winter coat standing next to a decorated Christmas tree outdoors. There is snow all around her. The second photo shows people in swimwear on a sunny beach, and right there on the sand there is a small decorated Christmas tree with presents. The main difference is the setting: the first picture is a traditional winter scene in cold weather, while the second one shows a New Year celebration in a hot, sunny place. The first way of spending the New Year, celebrating in winter, has clear advantages: you get the classic festive atmosphere with snow, and you can enjoy winter activities like skating or sledding. However, it also has disadvantages, because it can be really freezing outside, and travelling in bad weather is often difficult. The second way, celebrating on a warm beach, is attractive because you can relax in the sun and swim instead of freezing. It is a nice escape from the grey winter days. On the other hand, it has drawbacks too: it doesn't feel like a real New Year without snow and cold, and such a holiday abroad is usually quite expensive. As for me, I would prefer the traditional winter celebration, because for me the New Year is all about snow, a decorated tree and the cosy festive mood.
