Hi, I've found two great photos for our school project on sports, and I want to explain why I picked them. The first picture shows a group of young people playing volleyball on an outdoor court on a warm sunny day. The second one shows hockey players in winter sports clothes skating on an outdoor ice rink. These two photos contrast nicely because one sport is a summer game played on a court, while the other is a winter game played on ice. Another difference is the clothing: the volleyball players wear light T-shirts and shorts, whereas the hockey players are dressed in warm jackets, helmets and gloves. The main advantage of volleyball is that it is easy to start and needs almost no expensive equipment. It is also a great team game that helps you stay fit and make friends. However, volleyball depends on the weather, and on a rainy or windy day you simply cannot play outside. Ice hockey, on the other hand, is exciting and fast, and it develops strength, balance and quick reactions. Its disadvantages are that it requires special gear and an ice rink, which makes it rather expensive and not available to everyone. As for me, I would prefer volleyball because I enjoy playing outdoors with my friends in summer. So I think these two photos will make our project bright and easy to understand.
