Hi Alex, I'm calling to tell you about the two photos I've found for our school project on hobbies. I picked them because they show two completely different ways of spending free time. In the first picture you can see a woman working in a vegetable garden outdoors, and she is holding a spade. In the second picture a man in an apron and a chef's hat is preparing food in a kitchen, and someone is filming him with a camera. The main difference is the place: the first hobby takes place outside in the open air, while the second one happens indoors. Another difference is the result: gardening gives you vegetables, whereas cooking gives you a ready dish. The great advantage of gardening is that you spend a lot of time in the fresh air and get some exercise. The advantage of cooking is that it is a creative activity and you can surprise your family and friends with tasty meals. However, gardening has its disadvantages too: it depends on the weather and the season, so in winter you can do almost nothing. As for cooking, the main disadvantage is that it takes a lot of time and effort, and you have to wash a lot of dishes afterwards. As for me, I would prefer cooking, because I love trying new recipes and I like seeing the result of my work straight away.
