Hi, I've found two photos for our school project "Using the Internet" and I'd like to explain my choice. In the first picture, a young woman is sitting at a table in a bright kitchen and working on a laptop. In the second picture, a young woman is lying on a bed, wearing headphones and using a smartphone. The main difference is the situation: the laptop is used at a table in a kitchen, while the smartphone is used in a relaxed way on a bed. Also, the laptop looks like a device for serious work, whereas the smartphone with headphones seems to be used for entertainment. As for the advantages of the laptop, it has a big screen and a comfortable keyboard, so it is great for studying and doing projects. The smartphone, in its turn, is small and portable, so you can connect to the Internet almost anywhere. However, the laptop also has disadvantages: it is heavy and not very convenient to carry around, and it needs a stable Wi-Fi connection. The smartphone has its own drawbacks too: the screen is small, and it is easy to get distracted by social media or games. In my opinion, both gadgets are useful, but for our project they show two different sides of using the Internet. Personally, I prefer using a laptop to connect to the Internet because it is more convenient for long work and study. That's why I think these two photos illustrate our topic perfectly.
